Synopsis:
Paper Planes is an attempt to create theatre in which true human connection can transpire. It is a journey of collective excavation, an invitation to listen and be listened to.
Inspired by the childhood game of making paper planes and throwing them across buildings and towers, both artist and audience will anonymously make and write “wishes” on paper planes, sharing their hopes, dreams and desires. Each person’s ‘wishes' will transform into a part of the performance and physical space.
Earlier versions of Paper Planes took place in communities within Thailand and Malaysia and demonstrated the transformative power of performance.
Be Part of Paper Plane :WISHING BOOTH In this city of constant movement and change, can we still be sure of our wishes or dreams will even come true?
We would like to invite all members of the public to make a wish: to not only dream, but also to realize it. The process is simple: Enter our "Wishing Booth" and share your wishes and dreams with one of our volunteers, or anonymously record it alone in the booth. Your secret wishes will serve as inspiration for our work, and if you've recorded them, they may even be included in the soundscape for the performance.
